Rosemary is a herb that belongs in the mint family circle. It can also be mistaken for Thyme as the resemblance sometimes looks similar.

Rosemary is widely known to be native of the Mediterranean region, but since then it is produced in various countries mainly, Spain, France, Portugal and Turkey.
Tastes, Flavour and Aroma
The Rosemary herb has a wonderful smell when fresh and continues so when it is also dry. The Rosemary has a tea-like bitter sweet and a pine flavour.
Uses of Rosemary in cooking
Rosemary is great in lamb, pork and most chicken and game meat roasts. It’s also great in barbeques just before finishing to being out a great flavour in the meat. It’s very good to garnish food as it makes the food more attractive. Also blends well with other herbs for seasoning when dry and crushed.
