- What is Sudan 1?
The much publicised ingredient (dye) that can cause all types of illness in the human body. It can contribute to an increased risk of cancer. You may have heard of this ingredient, as a few years ago it was reported regularly on CNN and across all the major news channels. Sudan is still dangerous to be involved in. It is not allowed to be added in food especially in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe. Sudan is a red dye that is mostly used in colouring solvents, waxes, petrol and shoe polishes. It is not allowed here although some products have been discovered with contaminations from different countries.
